Experience
Linda is a shareholder at Gilbert & Sackman and joined the firm in 2009. Her practice focuses on representing unions and workers in complex and class action litigation in state and federal courts. She also specializes in representing the firm's building and construction trade unions in matters involving state prevailing wage laws.
After law school, Linda spent two and a half years as a Staff Attorney at Neighborhood Legal Services, where she helped low-income workers pursue wage claims in state court and before the Labor Commissioner, and engaged in broader state and local policy advocacy on behalf of low-wage and immigrant workers. After NLS, Linda worked as an associate at a union-side law firm in Pasadena, where she represented unions and workers in complex and class action litigation in state and federal courts and helped to recover millions of dollars in unpaid wages and penalties.
During law school, Linda drafted a comprehensive model constitution for trade unions in Kenya, in conjunction with the country's Labor Rights Campaign. She also interned at the Public Employment Relations Board, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, and the Tax Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco.
